We seek qualified candidates to fill two openings on our Immigration Case Manager team. This position plays a valuable and supportive role within our corporate immigration practice group. The process oriented individuals will provide support to our immigration attorneys and clients by managing and coordinating the preparation, submission, monitoring, follow-up and processing of employment-based immigration petitions, including, but not limited to, H-1B petitions, L-1 petitions, O-1 petitions, PERM labor certification applications, Immigrant Visa Petitions, Nonimmigrant Visa Petitions, and Adjustment of Status applications. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Prepare draft immigration petitions and applications, supporting materials, correspondence, memos, summaries, and other documentation in an accurate and appropriate manner for review and finalizing by attorney(s).
  • Review and analyze files and materials noting relevant documents and issues and bring them to the attention of attorney(s); ensure attorney(s) are made aware of all matters needing immediate attention.
  • Develop immigration status reports, standard procedural and documentary checklists, standard letters, memos, and other documentation to facilitate accurate case preparation, as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of immigration procedures and practices to ensure accurate and prompt completion of documentation, forms, and filings unique to the immigration law area.
  • Work with immigration data base and develop ways to maximize the use of technology in the preparation of immigration documentation; maintain status lists and form files.
  • Provide work direction to contractors and client representatives such as human resources and legal personnel, and technical supervisors, as requested by attorney(s).
  • Prepare billing summaries and other billing documentation to meet specific client requirements.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and conferences; receive and sort incoming mail and phone calls by determining whether such items should be responded to by Immigration Case Manager or other legal staff. 

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • Two years of relevant experience in employment-based immigration, ideally, or working with individuals from countries outside of the United States.
  • Strong technical aptitude; experience with Microsoft Office Suite; experience/familiarity with generating forms and reports using LawLogix Edge immigration database and case management system, a plus.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with immigration related government agency procedures and documentation processes and the ability to solve problems typically encountered in such processing, a plus.
  • The desire to work as part of a team of professionals to standardize work procedures and implement strategies efficiently.
  • The ability to work independently and well under pressure; track and manage critical deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent time and project management skills; strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent client service skills.
