Overview:

Fredrikson & Byron is looking for a fantastic Marketing and Business Development Specialist to join our growing team. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to work alongside our attorneys, supporting key business development initiatives, including the preparation of proposals, pitches, and other critical marketing efforts

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Work with Business Development Managers (BDMs), the Director of Business Development, and the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to support strategic business development initiatives.
  • Draft, proof, and update compelling proposal documents, pitch packets, and other communication materials.
  • Maintain and update the firm’s CRM, ensuring data accuracy and leveraging the CRM for business development and marketing efforts.
  • Assist in the preparation of articles and marketing materials that showcase the firm’s services and capabilities.
  • Support the adoption and digital literacy of marketing technologies within the firm.
  • Coordinate with various internal teams to gather accurate information and insights to be used in proposals and client-facing documents.
  • Help ensure the timely delivery of high-quality marketing and business development materials that reflect the firm's values and expertise.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Undergraduate degree plus some professional experience in marketing, communications, or business development.
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
  • Digital literacy, including proficiency with MS Office Suite and CRM platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of the firm.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a professional services environment (legal, accounting, consulting) is preferred.
  • Prior experience with CRM systems and digital marketing tools is a plus.
  • Background in writing (journalism, grant writing, etc.) is a plus.
  • Project management experience is highly valued.
  • A proactive, positive attitude and a strong team-oriented approach.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment.
