Marketing & Business Development Manager - Foley & Mansfield

We are seeking a candidate who has demonstrated drive, dedication, professionalism and a positive attitude to join our leadership team as the Marketing and Business Development Manager. In this role, you will serve as the lead marketing resource and be primarily responsible for building the firm’s brand. You will plan and implement a wide variety of marketing and business development initiatives aimed at raising the profile of the Firm and enabling Foley & Mansfield attorneys to build client relationships and win new business. This position can be located in one of our offices in Minneapolis, Chicago, St. Louis or Los Angeles. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with attorneys on development of pitches, presentations and RFP responses
  • Work with practice areas and analyze market conditions to determine and recommend effective, detailed approaches to pursuing new business
  • Track, analyze and evaluate business development activity across the firm and recommend strategies to increase the overall effectiveness
  • Plan and coordinate events such as firm-sponsored programs for clients and prospective clients (CLEs, seminars, speaking opportunities)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in  marketing or business development
  • National law firm or other professional services industry experience preferred
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with the attorneys and administrative staff throughout the firm
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Excellent written, presentation and oral communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities and take initiative to lead projects
  • Strong working knowledge of social media
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in marketing, communication, business or related field
